Masonic Village at Elizabethtown, PA, Rehab Services staff welcomed residents and employees to the new outpatient rehab clinic during today’s open house. Starting May 6, residents can receive speech, occupational and physical therapy at the clinic.
The clinic is fitted with state-of-the-art equipment, including the SMARTfit Mini, donated by resident Mark Townsend, who did extensive research to find the best exercise program for his wife who was recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s. Here are some of his comments he shared with us during the buying process.
“When Judy and I asked the charming and talented staff in our already well-furnished Wellness Center what new equipment would help them do their jobs even better, SmartFit equipment was at the top of their list.”
“After a brief investigation, my first impression was, “Expensive!” I was measuring the cost only in dollars. The hundreds of customizable video training programs supplied in the user-interface changed my measuring stick.”
“The important question was really, “How long will it take for this equipment to pay for itself by attracting new residents here, who will help keep our great playground solvent as we age?” My best guess: a few weeks! “Expensive” now changed to “CHEAP!”
At SMARTfit, working with Mark Townsend to secure his donation for his beloved wife Judy, touched all of our hearts. God bless you Mark and Judy. We are here to support you any time you reach out for us.
