EmpowerMe Wellness First to Receive SMARTfit Portable Mini

We are excited to announce the delivery of the world’s first SMARTfit Low Impact Mini Portable to EmpowerMe Wellness at their San Gabriel Memory Care community in Higland, IL. The new system allows EmpowerMe to deliver cutting-edge cognitive, physical, and dual-task wellness and therapy solutions directly to residents in their rooms to improve ADLs, slow or prevent MCI and Dementia, and reduce fall risk.

The first of its kind, the SMARTfit Low Impact Mini Portable is a high-tech, gamified piece of therapy equipment that assists in assessing and treating memory, attention, processing speed, executive functioning, and language. It is designed to deliver dual task cost assessment and training to the bedside or private room.

Dual task training is proven to be the most efficient way to repair, prevent, or delay cognitive and motor decline. “The SMARTfit Low Impact Mini Portable is a game-changer,” stated Julia Baechle, Director of Clinical Programming at EmpowerMe Wellness. “We are very excited to begin using this equipment in our communities. It engages residents in social interaction, fun team activities and competition, resulting in increased engagement and better outcomes. We can’t wait to see our residents thrive with SMARTfit!”

Cathi Lamberti, Founder and CEO of SMARTfit Inc., additionally commented on the first SMARTfit Low Impact Mini Portable delivery and their growing relationship with EmpowerMe Wellness. “We are excited to be partnering with EmpowerMe Wellness. They have an incredibly professional team, and their leadership was an integral part in the development process to include client, organizational, and staff management data features that everyone will benefit from.”
